This meeting would be recorded for the purpose of the minutes 1.7.20 Attendance (as above) 2.7.20 To receive apologies for absence. None. 3.7.20 To receive Members Declarations of Interest. Cllr. d’Ayala (a member of Save The Cabinet Action Group - SCAG 4.7.20 To invite Members of the Public to address the meeting. It was agreed that Standing Orders would be suspended at points in the meeting to allow members of the public to make contributions if they wished. 5.7.20 To consider and make comment on planning applications and to agree to request Dist. Cllr. Morris to call in Planning Applications for referral for decision to the NHDC Planning Control Committee – The Cabinet, High Street, Reed, Hertfordshire, SG8 8AH – Case Ref Nos: 20/01349/FP & 20/01350/LBC Cllr. Langley had previously circulated to all Cllrs. a draft response to the planning applications. After some discussion some amendments were agreed and the final response to submit objections to both applications was proposed, seconded and unanimously approved by all. (See Appendix A). Resolved. The Clerk to submit response to NHDC by deadline of 24th July. Action: Clerk It was also proposed, seconded and unanimously agreed by all to ask Dist. Cllr. Morris to call in both applications for referral for decision to the NHDC Planning Control Committee, should the case officer be mindful to recommend approval. The grounds for supporting a referral were relating to planning permission and listed building consent (See Appendix B). Resolved. Cllr. Langley to write to Dist. Cllr. Morris. Action: KL For information - an email exchange between Cllr. d’Ayala and the Development and Conservation Manager at NHDC was shared with the Council. In the absence of the Chair, Cllr. d’Ayala had made an enquiry asking for comment in relation to a claimed past interaction between the owner of The Cabinet and NHDC in a recently released press article in The Crow regarding the newly opened ‘Spice Cabinet’ which had been now set up in a part of the ground floor of The Cabinet. (See Appendix C). There being no further business the meeting closed at 8.35pm.
